General 01/07/2007 Welcome to the Flinders Ports Shipping Information Centre. This web site contains information about commercial shipping schedules (expected and actual), ships currently in port and cruise ship schedules. All shipping data is sourced directly and online from Flinders Ports - Port Management Information System (PortMIS).

20/08/2007 No. 33 of 2007 South Australia - Gulf St Vincent / Spencer Gulf - Restricted Zones. The general public and mariners in particular are reminded that enforceable restricted zones under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act of 2003 exist around all commercial shipping (in particular fuel tankers and passenger vessels) in the waters of Gulf St Vincent and Spencer Gulf. Mariners are advised to exercise caution in the vicinity of these vessels and maintain a clearance distance of 50 metres from them at all times
20/12/2006 No. 34 (A, & B) of 2006 South Australia - Gulf St Vincent - Port Adelaide River & Entrance - Dredging Complete - New Channel Declared - Beacons Installed, Moved and Removed, 10.3m Channel Altered, New Turning Basins Declared, New Outer Harbor Berth 8 Declared, New Pilot Boarding Ground Declared, New Anchorage Declared, Channel Approaches Established. 30/01/2006 No. 5 of 2006 South Australia - Spencer Gulf - Port Bonython, Port Pirie & Whyalla - Pilotage. Mariners are advised that vessels approaching the ports of Port Bonython, Port Pirie and Whyalla are subject to the following pilotage regime: "Pilotage for vessels with a draught in excess of 14m is at the Port Bonython pilot boarding place. Pilotage for vessels with a draught of less than 14m is at the Whyalla or Port Pirie pilot boarding places. Pilotage is compulsory for all non-exempt vessels
